Why The Norton

The Norton is inspired by Gerard Norton VC. Norton was awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award of the British honours system, for conspicuous bravery during the Second World War in North Africa, where he led a charge under intense enemy fire, rallying his men and securing a critical position against overwhelming odds.

Of African heritage, his service reflects the different backgrounds of those who fought, demonstrating exceptional courage and resilience in the most demanding conditions.
