Many of our watches utilise automatic movements . An automatic movement relies on kinetic energy generated by wrist movement to keep it ticking. A fully wound watch will have a power reserve that'll kick in for a period of inactivity. 

To that end if you leave your watch on the side without any exposure to movement for an extended period of time it will eventually stop ticking. It can be restarted with a firm shake or the winding of the crown.

Pull the crown to the first click and turn the date to yesterday's date. Then pull the crown gently out to the 2nd click and turn the hands clockwise until the date window advances to today’s date. That’ll now be 12 o’clock midnight last night.  Now you can advance the time to the correct reading moving through and past 12 o’clock if the current time is past midday. Finally, remember to push and screw the crown back in once the time is set correctly (an incorrectly secured crown can allow water to enter the watch).

Yes, all of our watches are pressure tested according to each watch's specification. Although your watch is sealed against dust and moisture, it's smart to have it pressure tested every few years to ensure the seals are fine.

All Stirling Timepieces watches are guaranteed mechanically for 2 years from purchase.

In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you are able to return it within 28 days of receipt. To return your order, please send an email to info@stirlingtimepieces.com stating your name, order number and reason for return. We'll be in touch with details of our return address.

You must return your order in an undamaged and unworn condition within the original packaging. Failure to do so could result in a refund being refused. We are not responsible for paying any customs charges (import duty or tax) on any returns. You will be responsible for all costs and charges associated with returning your order.

We recommend you return your order via a tracked shipping method, or request a proof of postage receipt, as we cannot refund or exchange lost returns. Any orders sent back after 28 days of receipt will be returned to the customer.

Unfortunately we do not offer any discounts for military personnel but instead choose to donate 10% of all profits to Combat Stress
